Poker is more than a game of chance. It's a contest of mind, strategy, and discipline. A skilled poker player knows when to bet, when to fold, and most importantly — when to be patient. In Malaysia, interest in online poker continues to grow, and GW99 stands as the platform that best understands the needs of local poker players.
What sets gw99 apart from other poker platforms available in the Malaysian market? First and foremost, it's the variety on offer. gw99 features eight different poker variants — from the widely familiar Texas Hold'em to Short Deck Hold'em, which is growing rapidly in popularity among younger players. Each variant comes with its own rules and strategy, keeping the experience fresh and challenging even for players who have been in the game for years.
Texas Hold'em remains the most popular poker game at GW99. Texas Hold'em tables are available across a wide range of stakes — from blinds as low as RM0.10/RM0.25 for newcomers looking to practice without much risk, all the way up to VIP tables with RM50/RM100 blinds for serious players seeking higher-stakes action. Whatever your skill level, GW99 has a table that fits.
For players who prefer structured competition, GW99 offers Tournament Poker in a variety of formats. Multi-table tournaments (MTTs) give players the chance to enter with a small buy-in and compete for prizes many times larger. Imagine entering for RM50 and walking away with RM50,000 or more — that's the unmatched appeal of tournament poker. GW99 hosts weekly and monthly tournaments with attractive guaranteed prize pools.
Sit & Go is the perfect format for players who don't want to commit to a long tournament schedule. Once the required number of players has registered, the game starts immediately — no waiting around. This format is hugely popular among Malaysian players who have limited time but still want a competitive experience full of pressure and strategy. GW99 offers Sit & Go in 6-max, 9-max, and turbo formats for maximum flexibility.
Jackpot Poker is one of GW99's standout features and its biggest draw. Every hand played at a GW99 Jackpot Poker table contributes to a growing progressive jackpot. When a player lands a qualifying hand such as a Royal Flush or Four of a Kind, the jackpot can be triggered automatically. GW99's latest jackpot has surpassed RM2 million — and it keeps climbing every day. This makes every poker session at GW99 about more than just winning the pot; it's also a shot at a life-changing prize.
On the matter of game fairness, gw99 uses a Random Number Generator (RNG) system that has been audited by an independent third-party body. This ensures every card dealt is completely random and no player holds an unfair advantage. gw99 also has a sophisticated anti-collusion system in place to detect any attempts at dishonest cooperation between players at the same table.
For new players who are unfamiliar with poker, GW99 provides free practice tables where you can play with virtual credits and no real-money risk. It's the ideal way to learn the basics, test strategies, and build confidence before stepping up to real-money tables. GW99 also offers a comprehensive poker guide in Bahasa Malaysia — covering everything from hand rankings to betting strategy — to help new players get started on the right foot.
Making a deposit to play poker at gw99 is simple and fast. You can use Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, or FPX online banking services such as Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. The minimum deposit is just RM10, and funds are credited within seconds. When it's time to withdraw your winnings, gw99 processes withdrawal requests within 15 minutes to 1 hour for fully verified accounts — among the fastest in Malaysia's online poker industry.
Gw99 also offers a dedicated rakeback programme for active poker players. A portion of every rake paid during play is returned to the player as a weekly bonus. The more you play, the more rakeback you earn. Combined with other bonus promotions such as weekly cashback and reload bonuses, gw99's loyalty programme ensures players always get the best value for every hour spent at the poker table.
